TYPES OF CANADIAN SCHOLARSHIPS

Canadian Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) are offered from the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) worth $10,200 – $15,900 depending on the level of study.

VANIER CANADA GRADUATE SCHOOLARSHIPS

The Vanier Scholarship is named after Major General Georges P. Vanier – the first Governor in Canada. Postgraduate scholarships are available for highly qualified doctoral students. The scholarship is worth up to $50,000 per year for three years of doctoral research.

You are eligible when you are a Citizen of Canada, a Permanent Resident of Canada or a Foreign Citizen. The areas of application for the Vanier Fellowship are Health Studies, Natural or Engineering Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences.

- The entrance scholarship is renewable in subsequent years if the student maintains an 80% GPA on 5 courses taken simultaneously during the 9th to 4th semester.
