Half of the 20 best schools in the world for Accounting and Finance are in the US, with Harvard University leading the way.
According to the university rankings by field 2022 (QS World Ranking by Subjects 2022) published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) of the UK on April 6, Harvard University (USA) continues to lead the group of Accounting and Finance majors. The next two positions belonged to Stanford University and MIT, respectively, of the US. Stanford rose one place to take MIT's previous year's spot.
The evaluation scores for these three schools are 98.5, 94 and 93.6, respectively. This level is given based on the following criteria: academic reputation; the university's reputation as assessed by employers; the average number of citations per article and the H-index measuring scientific research productivity and the impact of publications; The IRN (International Research Network) index measures the effectiveness of research collaborations with international partners.
In the top 20, the US has seven other universities still familiar names appearing in recent years but the position has changed slightly, such as Chicago University from 9th to 5th Pennsylvania University from 6th down 8th. Of the 322 universities in 48 participating countries and ranked this year, the US has 73 universities, accounting for 22.67%.
